Marc Sinden invites you to an intimate evening in which he will be interviewed by Jonathan Kydd, son of the late actor, Sam Kydd, about living and working with his late father, the actor Sir Donald Sinden.

During his long and prolific career, Sir Donald’s theatre credits included The Heiress, King Lear and Present Laughter. While on the big screen he appeared in films such as The Cruel Sea, Doctor in the House and Above Us the Waves.

The award-winning performer also appeared on television in programmes including Our Man at St. Mark's, Two’s Company and Never the Twain.

In what promises to be a memorable show, the audience will be treated to hysterical and moving stories relating to the actor, some of which have not been told publicly before.

Running time: 110 minutes, including a 20-minute interval

About Marc Sinden

Marc has worked in theatre, television and film as an actor, director and producer. As an actor, his theatre credits include over 40 regional tours or West End productions. On television, he is probably best known for playing Inspector Stokesay in Magnum, P.I., with Tom Selleck, and as Martyn Price in the BAFTA and Emmy award-winning The Politician's Wife, with Trevor Eve and Juliet Stevenson. Marc produced and directed the documentary series Great West End Theatres for Sky Arts and produced the feature films That Good Night, with Charles Dance and Sir John Hurt, and East, with Steven Berkoff. He was artistic director of the British Theatre Season in Monaco and also the Mermaid Theatre in London. Marc is currently producing two feature films at Elstree Studios.

 

About Jonathan Kydd

Jonathan is an actor, writer, podcaster and voice over artist. His television credits include Pipkins, Minder, Casualty, French Fields, One Foot in the Grave, Jonathan Creek, Doctors and The Brian Conley Show (for which he wrote 24 songs). While his voice over work has included the cartoons The Adventures of Paddington Bear, Toy Story That Time Forgot and Mr Bean. Jonathan has also voiced all the Harry Potter games and countless commercials, including the infamous Ferrero Rocher campaign. He has starred in many BBC Radio 4 comedy series including The Castle, Dial M for Pizza and Chambers. He recently published the first volume of his father’s memoirs, Sam Kydd: Be a Good Boy, Sam.
