Philippa Broadhurst is a local artist who works in a wide variety of media and styles. During the pandemic she began a series of black and white ink drawings of local places, distinctive for including the title of the landmark, visually within the piece.
Alongside her personal artwork, Pippa has been an artist in Film/TV for over 20 years, responsible for the graphic designs of shows like AppleTV's SILO, Netflix’s Dark Crystal:Age of Resistance and films like Jingle Jangle, An Education and Made in Dagenham. As an Art Director she spent four years working on Game of Thrones, completed the first two series of Downton Abbey, and numerous others including New Tricks, Ashes to Ashes and the first BBC Agatha Christie “reboot” with Sarah Phelps’ “And Then There Were None.”
Whether personal or professional, modern or period, Pippa starts every piece with her favourite medium - the humble and wonderful 2B pencil.
