After graduating from the Norwich School of Art and Design with a degree in Illustration, Daren set a studio up in London and worked mainly as an editorial illustrator spending 20 years freelancing for advertising agencies. Projects ranged from animation to creating murals for Swatch at Harrods and Heathrow Airport.
In 2016 Daren took some time out, and after spending four months in New Zealand, decided to go back to what he loved and became a full-time artist.
Daren is passionate about the natural world for which its dynamic spirit provides an endless source of inspiration and aims to convey this in his work by letting the brush strokes transfer energy and life into the subjects of his paintings.
